In the Fall of 2023, three chess friends pooled their efforts to establish a chess hub where people could come together, connect and play.

January 2024 saw the club formed as a non-profit initiative under the Ontario Not-for-profit Corporations Act.

As a non-profit organization, our club resources are dedicated to the advancement of chess as a competitive sport and as part of general human culture.

Our goal is to foster a vibrant and inclusive chess community that will be open to everyone. We also strive to promote chess as an educational tool that will help kids develop independent thinking and good sportsmanship.

Our chess club is located at the heart of Toronto. We meet once a month, on a Sunday, at the following address:

The Manulife Centre – 31st Floor

Toronto, ON M4Y 1R8

We also host other chess events in various locations in the Greater Toronto Area. In all our events, chess pieces, boards and clocks are provided by the club.

Whether you are a novice or an experienced player you are welcome to join our events. We aspire to make chess instructive, inspiring, and above all entertaining.
