OVERVIEW
September 29 marks a significant day for the Toronto Chess Centre as it is going to host its inaugural chess tournament at the Manulife Centre. The event is a 7 double-round blitz tournament, followed by a social event to celebrate the birth of the new club. Several distinguished members of the chess community are expected to attend the occasion. Join us at the Party Room of the Manulife Centre, as we take one step forward towards fulfilling our vision of making the TCC a hub for chess players in Toronto!

REGISTRATION
All players must submit this online form and pay the entry fee by no later than September 28, 2024. Registration takes effect and secures the spot upon payment of the entry fee.
CAPACITY
44 Players. Waitlisted players will be called to participate by order of their registration
CFC MEMBERSHIP
Players must obtain a valid CFC ID by no later than September 28, 2024

Social/Hang out: 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
PRIZES
Depending on entries, ~50% of entries returned as prizes. Expected to have 3 Open Prizes U2000, U1600, Top Women and other class prizes.
ENTRY FEE
$55/player. Free Entry to IM/GM/WIM/WGM

By eTransfer to [email protected] with the player’s full name mentioned as a note. Deadline: September 28, 2024, 11:59 p.m. No cash on-site.
REFUNDS
- $55 back if notified by September 25, 11:59 p.m.
- $25 if notified by September 27, 11:59 p.m.
- No refund after September 27
