Learn Chess!
At the Toronto Chess Centre, we believe that learning chess should be both engaging and rewarding. Many parents come to us with the same question: “My child wants to learn chess and improve. Do you offer lessons?” The answer is yes!
Two of our co-founders, Mark and Panos, are highly experienced, full-time chess coaches who have guided countless young players on their journey to improvement. Depending on the level of commitment you’d like to make toward your child’s chess development, you may choose between private tutoring, for a tailored, one-on-one learning experience, or group lessons, which allow students to grow together in a supportive and stimulating environment. You can learn more about our coaches by visiting their bios (Mark & Panos), and we encourage you to reach out with any questions.
For families interested in group learning, the Toronto Chess Centre is also proud to recommend our longtime sponsor, co-host and supporter, Canada Chess Youth Club (CCYC). As Ontario’s largest chess school for kids, CCYC offers both online and in-person classes every day. Their team of dedicated coaches has successfully guided many students to the top of provincial and national championships, making them a trusted leader in chess education.
To learn more, you may visit the CCYC website or simply call 647-567-6670 or e-mail [email protected] to contact their management directly. Every new student is welcome to receive a free assessment and trial class. A perfect way to get started on their chess journey!
